Wayward Birds,
Wild at Heart
We're a small team of Yukon locals who believe the best way to share this land is to take you right into it.
From Backyard Adventures to Guided Expeditions
Wayward Birdie Tours was founded in 2018 by lifelong Yukoner Jordan Raven, a wilderness guide and outdoor educator who grew up running trails, paddling rivers, and sleeping under the aurora borealis in his family's backyard near Fish Lake.
After a decade of guiding for larger international operators, Jordan wanted to create something more intimate β small group tours that felt less like a packaged product and more like being invited into a local's secret wild places.
Today, Wayward Birdie is a team of six guides and two operations staff, all Yukon locals, all deeply in love with this extraordinary corner of Canada. Together we've guided over 500 guests from around the world through northern lights storms, wolf howls at dawn, and the peaceful drift of a wooden canoe on a river that's been flowing for ten thousand years.
Our founding guide has lived here his whole life. No one knows this land better than someone who grew up in it.
"Wayward Birdie" is a nod to the hundreds of migratory birds that pass through the Yukon each year β and to the free-spirited travellers who find their way here.
5% of every booking goes to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and local First Nations land stewardship initiatives.
